Supervision Training
What is supervision?
Supervision is a process of learning and development that enables individuals to reflect on and develop their knowledge, skills and competence, through regular support from another professional. It underpins good and safe patient care, enabling healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities to practice safely and effectively. Organisations that offer health coaching services have an obligation to provide supportive and effective health coaching supervision from a more senior and experienced member of staff who is equipped with health coaching skills. They must support health coaches in their learning and development so that they deliver high quality services.
What is supervision training?
Our accredited supervision training is designed for organisations that want to train their experienced workforce members to become supervisors. The PCI’s accredited training courses are suitable for practitioners from all health, care, community and voluntary sectors.
The PCI’s brand new PCI Supervision Framework will run parallel to our curriculum, setting out the required standards for supervision training courses to achieve PCI Accreditation.  Â
