About our Special Interest Groups?
The Personalised Care Institute’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) bring together professionals who are passionate about advancing personalised care within specific areas of practice. These groups offer a space for sharing knowledge, discussing challenges, and exploring innovative approaches that support person-centred care.
Each SIG focuses on a particular theme or sector. Currently we have a focus on Maternity, Social Prescribing and Lifestyle Medicine allowing members to collaborate, learn from each other, and contribute to the wider personalised care agenda. Participation is open to anyone with a relevant interest, providing opportunities to engage with like-minded peers, shape national conversations, and influence best practice. We are keen to grow and develop our SIGs, so please contact us if you would like to discuss a new SIG info@personalisedcare.org.uk.
Through regular meetings, shared resources, and active discussion, the SIGs play a vital role in strengthening the delivery of personalised care across health and care settings.
Why join a Special Interest Group?
Special Interest Groups (SIG) offer our members a dynamic platform to dive deep into their professional passions and expertise, forming a vital part of our multidisciplinary society.
Joining a SIG through the Personalised Care Institute is a great way to stay informed, connected, and influential in your area of interest. These groups offer a space to share insights, discuss practical challenges, and learn from others working across health and care. Whether you’re a clinician, commissioner, or support worker, SIGs give you access to up-to-date knowledge and real-world examples of personalised care in action.
You’ll have the chance to shape discussions, contribute to educational resources, and help drive improvements that make a difference to people’s lives. It’s also an opportunity to build your network, collaborate across sectors, and be part of a community that’s committed to putting people at the centre of care. SIGs are open to anyone with a relevant interest—no matter your role or level of experience.
Each SIG is partnered with at least one dedicated lived experience member, who serves as a vital link to ensure that the perspectives and insights of patient experience are integrated into our discussions and initiatives.
Join us in exploring the diverse and enriching world of our SIGs—where knowledge, support, and innovation come together to enhance our understanding and practice of pain management!
